The man with the most improbable name lives up to it at the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker.
In 2003 the most common reaction to hearing the name of the World Series of Poker main event was; “Funny! But what’s his REAL name?” That’s because Chris Moneymaker did just that when he scored a victory worth millions, and he recently showed that he still has some poker chops.
While he hasn’t managed any major victories since, and few final tables, Moneymaker made it to the final table in Event #5 of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker, one of the most poker pro frequented events of this year’s WCOOP.
Pros like Ted Forrest went deep, making it to 20th, but Chris made it to sixth and picked up around $170k, out of 321 players.
