David Rheem, one of the nine players to participate in the 2008 World Series of Poker Final, gets the green light from the police.
There was a chance that one of the November Nine would get nixed, opening up the field for an excited alternate. It seems that David Rheem had a run in with Florida authorities at some point in the past, but they are now saying it is “no big deal.”
The misdemeanor offence was a trespassing situation, one likely where David was asked to vacate a place like a club or store and, when he did not, the police were called.
Still, it could have been enough to keep the young poker player from Hollywood, Florida from palying in the biggest poker game of the year, one where he has the potential of becoming a millionare many times over.
In the end, however, the local PD has come forward and let everyone know that Rheem paid whatever fines were associated with the charges, and they have no need or interest in paying him a visit.
Looks like Rheem is on for the big dance in November!
